Roxio hires music guru

As it prepares to launch its own music download service,Roxio has added eLabs president Larry Kenswil to its board.

eLabs is the new-media and technologies division of Vivendi Universal’s Universal Music Group. Roxio said the division is responsible for “overseeing the company’s efforts in new formats and e-commerce as well as developing strategies for protecting copyrights in the digital domain”.

Kenwil’s experience is expected help Roxio’s re-launch of its legal version of Napster, which it hopes to do “as soon as it’s ready”.

He has led eLabs since its inception in January 1999, and has served as Universal Music’s executive vice president, business and legal affairs. Kenswil also sits on the board of the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), before which he served on the board of the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI).

Roxio adds that its new director is “active in government affairs on behalf of the music industry, having testified before both congressional and administration committees”.

    “The greatest reason P.T. is still being discussed is due to the way it tells its story through clues and hints.”nThis is also what made the elder Silent hill games. Complain about Fi1t-pe1on view, lack of original staff, etc. This is enough for me to welcome this as a Silent Hill game.
