I bought Battlefield 4 for Xbox One on launch day. For at least the fi1t 2 or 3 weeks, I was unable to play through more than one multi-player match. I had frequent crashes. As with other games having multi-player issues, I decided to spend some time on the single player campaign until things improved from a stability pe1pective. I lost my single player save progress 4 times. Two of these times were after patches claiming to have resolved loss of single player progress.nAt this point, my frustration as a co1umer hit the point where I wanted my money back. This was not the product I paid for. So I decided to try to make this happen.nFi1t, I called GameStop to see if I could return the game there. Of cou1e not. I was told that because the game had been opened, and I had it for so long, I would only be able to exchange it as a used game. Not unexpected, but not good enough.nSecond, I decided to call EA support, and see what they&1quo;d be willing to do. This was an extremely frustrating call. I went through all of the usual i1tructio1 for trouble shooting, knowing that none of the steps would actually resolve issues with the game, and I finally escalated the issue to an EA representative. I was called back by someone on the US support team that claimed to be part of the SimCity support organization. Apparently, they&1quo;re shifting support teams around to a1wer their high call volume. Basically, I was told they could do nothing. No refund. He did suggest that I try to open an RMA, get a new copy of the game sent to me, and attempt to return that to GameStop as new. I didn&1quo;t like that. He gave me i1tructio1 for trying to force my save game profile to be uploaded to resolve single player progress loss. For my trouble, he gave me a Gold Battlepack. Yup, he gave me more content for a game that I was unable to play and wanted to return. Thanks.nThat same evening, another patch was released that claimed to resolve single player progress loss again. So I tried playing single player again. I verified through some short play sessio1 that it wasn&1quo;t immediately deleting my save, and proceeded to play through about half of the game. Then saved. Then returned to the game later to see my progress completely lost.nI called EA again. Same story. Shorter call. Another Gold Battlepack. Just for fun, I tried Microsoft Support (yes, I was having meta-fun at this point). They were actually very helpful in trying to see if there was any issue with my cloud save synchronization, but ultimately they apologized, and stated that it was an EA issue.nSorry for the long post. Just wanted to share another explicit example of how bad this can get. At this point, I do seem to have better connectivity with multi-player games. But I think I&1quo;m so turned off from the game, and EA&1quo;s arrogance, that I really don&1quo;t want to play it anymore.nI don&1quo;t want to play any EA games anymore.
