United kingdom Online launches 22Mb United kingdom broadband
United kingdom Online has launched its new national United kingdom 22Mb broadband service, that amounted to just ￡29.99 monthly.
Open to over 4.4 million homes in many cities, it uses next-gen broadband technology, ADSL2 . There’s a 1-off ￡25 connection charge and users must buy an ADSL2 router that amounted to yet another ￡79.99.
Customers who’ve tested the service have noted that the quantity of bandwidth they need to use permits them to concurrently surf the web, watch movies online, download files and play games without any considerable effect on speed.
United kingdom Online gm Chris Stening stated: “After extensive testing on the network, and customer trials, we’re happy to be launching the very first ADSL2 -based broadband available across the country. Although some customers can get 22Mb or maybe more, as much as 24Mb, the caliber of their line and distance in the exchange will dictate their maximum speed -and that’s why we give customers a practical estimate from the speed their line will support before they register.Inch
The service offers download speeds as high as 22Mb, and upload speeds as high as 768K, based on line quality and distance in the exchange. There aren’t any usage caps.
