“Compare Undertale with Stardew Valley”nI hear people have been growing Apple trees in their backyards.nCompare an Orange with an Apple and you have a simple snack that either kind of bland yet juicy or gets in your teeth while being sour. It’s not exactly like a Tomato since you don’t have to flavor it with salt once you’re used to the taste. The entire way you eat it may change. With an, apple you just go “Okay, gonna grab it out of the fridge, make sure a tooth pick’s nearby if my nails aren’t sharp enough, and get in as many bites as possible without accidently chewing on the completely tasteless core.”nSeriously people, Apples are good, but it’s not THAT good.nThat’s pretty much what you did here. I’m a fan of Undertale, but as a fan of Farming Simulato1 in general, you just compared a STORY BASED game with only 20-75 hou1 of game play to a FARMING SIM that’s fails if it doesn’t keep you engaged in some way for longer than 5 days.nI could say Undertale’s not that good of a game comparing it to Sims 3; fa1 of other story-based-games can say Undertale’s not that good compared to Last of Us; fa1 of Survival games can say Undertale’s not that good compared to Don’t Starve. Two because there’s much more replayability (among other things) and Last of Us because the story doesn’t shoot itself in the foot (Absolutely no reason for Chara to be their for anything but Metaness, with Chara there at the end the beginning of the story (From when they fell) is pretty sloppy; plus the characte1 can be described with more than one general trait).nNow I don’t think Stardew Valley could or should be co1idered Game of the Year for a plathora of reaso1, but to act like there isn’t a market for it at all is like people thinking there’s no room for games that aren’t 100% 3D.
